A 'Stupid' Law, Death threat, and Obama's going to make our kids Socialist, Oh my

Montana officer resigns over Facebook comments

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - A Montana police officer who wrote on his Facebook page that there should be a law allowing police to take people to jail for being "stupid" has resigned.
Bozeman City Manager Chris Kukulski says Cody Anderson submitted his resignation Wednesday.
He says Anderson related that his resignation was in the best interest of the police department. Anderson apologized for his online comment last month, saying it didn't "reflect an attitude or atmosphere within the Bozeman police department."
His posting came to light last month when a Bozeman man filed a lawsuit against the city, Anderson and other officers, saying his civil and constitutional rights were violated when he was wrongly arrested.
The lawsuit alleges entries from Anderson's Facebook profile indicate he has a lack of respect for citizens' rights and a willingness to abuse his position of authority.

Well if he said that there should be a law allowing police to take stupid people to jail, he should turn himself in as well. Hey, Dill! It’s called a privacy setting. Don’t let people you don’t know view your page.
NC man sentenced for threatening to kill president

STONEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina man has pleaded guilty to saying he was going to assassinate President Barack Obama.
The Rockingham County sheriff's office says Steve Lee Stone pleaded to charges Wednesday of communicating threats, resisting a public officer and misusing the 911 system. He was sentenced to two 45-day jail terms, which were suspended, and 18 months probation.
Police say the 44-year-old man called a 911 dispatcher twice from his trailer about five miles south of the Virginia border in late July and said he was going to assassinate the president. He did not identify himself.
Sheriff's deputies and a Secret Service agent investigated the caller's identity. Stone was interviewed by deputies at his trailer in Stoneville.
Deputies say Stone became combative during the interview and they were forced to use a stun gun and arrest him.

Awesome! I man that makes a death threat to the president and resists arrest get probation…Because we want him out on the street. “No officer. I promise I won’t try to kill the president. Nope. Not me. I’ve learned my lesson.”

Obama’s school speech
I find it appalling that President Barack Obama is bringing politics into the classroom. I realize his Sept. 8 speech will be generic; after all he must remain "innocent." What worries me is the discussion that will take place in classrooms after the speech.
We all know Obama has called out his radical, left-wing associates like ACORN and MoveOn.org to force his ideas for our country on American citizens. Who is to say one of these people is not a teacher? It is my place to teach my children and grandchildren my values concerning my/their obligations to my country.
Did I mind when Bush was in the schools? No, he was reading a children’s book to them, not telling my grandchild that I am a right-wing terrorist, a racist or that I have swastika tattoos!
Keep politics out of public schools, but most importantly leave my grandchildren alone!

Nancy, you ignorant slut. Are you kidding me? You haven’t seen a copy of the speech. You have no idea what the president is going to say. You’re going off assumption, and assumption is not always fact.
“something that is believed to be true without proof”

Do your research before you start blasting the president. Bush Sr and Reagan both gave speeches directly to students via C-Span and the radio. Both of them spoke on the importance of education, staying focused, and having values. The exact same thing Obama is going to speak about. Take a look:

http://www.reagan.utexas.edu/archives/speeches/1988/111488c.htm

Washington Post reported it at the time: The speech at Alice Deal Junior High School, broadcast live on radio and television, urged students to study hard, avoid drugs and turn in troublemakers.

‘Hey everybody. President Bush read a book to school children. Yay!!! He’s the greatest ever! Oh wait… He just got us into a war where nothing he promised would be there was actually there. Wait! No! He’s still the greatest!!! Look at all the dirty terrorist (also known as citizens of another country who may or may not be tied to terrorist groups, but they have brown skin and read the Koran, so they must be terrorist) he’s killed. Yeah Bush!!!’

Sounds like you’ve had some issues in the past with people accusing you of being a right-winged nut and racist. Is this true Nancy? Are you both of these things? And you want to talk about people labeling people terrorist, when your beloved Bush Jr labeled anyone who had read the Koran a terrorist.

You also fail to realize that you are in the minority when it comes to parents and grandparents teaching their children values. Ya see, sadly, the majority of children these days are left to learn these things with little to no guidance. So good for you if you’ve taken an active roll in developing your grandchildren’s values, but don’t interfere with the government when they try to help develop values for those not as fortunate as you.

Nancy, there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, this is my opinion about you and just like you I have every right to express it. However, the difference between you and me is that I take time to find out the facts of something before I form my opinion about something. You on the other, like all the other idiots, listen to no one but idiots and believe whatever they tell you. You are why the right-winged reputation is growing more unpopular. You people have no clue when it comes to actually thinking for yourself.

From, "And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country." — John F. Kennedy January 20, 1961
To, in essence: "What can you do for Obama?"
Yes, a whole lot has certainly changed. I’m still waiting on the hope.
— Wendell, Saginaw

Hey Wendell…Ya ever hoped that one day you won’t be stupid any more? There’s a cop in Montana that would like to speak with you. Your comment makes no sense what so ever and for that, I’m going to stab you in the gut.
